Oh yes, you have the right to be honest, and to speak your mind. But you’re also a traitor to your family, and deeply deeply unkind. You’ve chosen an emotionally immature path that makes you feel better because it aligns you with the values and group you actually hold more dear. You want to fit in, to be in charge, to not have your identity defined for you by others far far away. Your Jewishness, like your youth, is something you’d like to control and shed as you desire.
