There is of course DNA linking Muslims to the region. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem was in 635 BCE. The Palestinians, whose name was derived from Peleset, and later, Phillistines, who were not indigenous to Canaan--the lands know as Israel and Palestine today--didn't arrive in the region until 12 BCE. Therefore, they have DNA linking them to the region as well as probably many others as well. Don't forget there were many forced conversions over time in the region so DNA could link different groups to the region like Egyptians as well.
