That's a great question, Kathy. I like the exercise ball for various reasons: it engages other muscles, promotes movement, allows for sitting without back support, and is fun. It's actually a very nice alternative for children when they sit at school. The only thing I will say is that like anything else, moderation is key. If you're used to using it then you probably know how to gauge what is comfortable for you, but if you haven't tried it yet it may lead to some of the fatigue I described in the article. Also because it's so mobile, the feedback from the sit bones will also shift. I mentioned Dr. Turner Osler in the article.
