I’m not fully understanding your question. The point I was trying to make is that whenever we generalize we become part of the problem—not the solution. Stereotypes don’t help anyone. Assumptions don’t help either. If a person with a hoodie stole a bike and then another person with a hoodie stole a bike, should I assume people who wear hoodies steal bikes? If a wealthy woman complained about her bill and another wealthy woman complained about her bill—do all wealthy women complain about their bills? As humans our brains need comparisons to process and group ideas and form opinions. But being less quick to judge before making an analysis or generalization might be more helpful to achieve the goals of equality and acceptance.
